RBR-Technologies creates formal Quality Assurance Plans and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans to monitor and maximize the quality of the tasks we perform. All RBR-Technologies Quality Assurance Plans address each phase within a project’s life cycle. They establish testing standards that required the use of predefined, comprehensive test plans. Our quality assurance plans for all external and contractually projects will include at least one audit of all current draft deliverables and selected work products in each stage of development

Monitor and maximize quality

 

RBR-Technologies creates formal Quality Assurance Plans and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans to monitor and maximize the quality of the tasks we perform. All RBR-Technologies Quality Assurance Plans address each phase within a project’s life cycle. They establish testing standards that required the use of predefined, comprehensive test plans. Our quality assurance plans for all external and contractually projects will include at least one audit of all current draft deliverables and selected work products in each stage of development. The reviews will assure that the established system development and project management processes and procedures are being followed effectively, and exposures and risks to the current project schedule are identified and addressed.

 

Our Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) defines the roles and responsibilities of all employees, identifies the performance objectives, defines the methodologies used to monitor and evaluate the company’s performance, describes quality assurance documentation requirements, and describes the analysis of quality assurance monitoring results. Our QASPs define the performance management approach we take to monitor and manage performance to ensure the expected outcomes or performance objectives are achieved. Performance management rests on developing a capability to review and analyze information generated through performance assessment. The ability to make decisions based on the analysis of performance data is the cornerstone of performance management; this analysis yields information that indicates whether expected outcomes for the project are being achieved. A performance-based approach enables us to play a large role in how the work is performed, as long as the proposed processes are within the stated constraints. A “results” focus enables us flexibility to continuously improve and innovate over the course of the contract as long as the critical outcomes expected are being achieved. RBR-Technologies is ultimately responsible for the quality of all work performed. We measure that quality through our quality assurance (QA) program. Our QAP will set forth the staffing and procedures for self-inspecting the quality, timeliness, responsiveness, customer satisfaction, and other performance requirements per Task Order.

 

Customer responsiveness

 

RBR-Technologies utilizes Agile Project Management practices and techniques to ensure customer input is honored in everything we do. Our priorities are re-aligned with what our customer believes is most important on a bi-weekly basis for all development projects. Furthermore, we believe keeping the customer informed is the key to customer responsiveness. We inform our customers of problems immediately upon identification. We have a variety of ways in which we keep our customers informed.

 

RBR-Technologies provides Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) to the TM and ATM in whichever format they request and upload reports onto appropriate Knowledge Management (KM) database. We will include technical accomplishments, financial data, contractor staff status, project schedule updates, proposed changes, planned activities for next reporting period, risks and potential mitigations, and project progress by task and subtask as reflected in the WBS.

 

We will conduct a formal project kickoff meeting to outline the project plan, expected outcomes, timelines, and deliverables. RBR-Technologies will coordinate meetings with appropriate government personnel to conduct Program Reviews (PRs) and In Progress Reviews (IPRs) as required. We will provide meeting agendas for all scheduled meetings in advance of each meeting via email and upload to appropriate knowledge management repository. All meetings will be followed up within two days with meeting minutes to include assigned due outs.

 

Problem resolution

 

RBR-Technologies believes the best way to address problems is to prevent them from occurring. As such, our risk management plan is a critical part of our problem resolution process.

 

RBR-Technologies generates and implements a federal and industry standard compliant Risk Management Plan (RMP). This RMP includes processes to: define roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, identify internal and external risks, manage and mitigate risks, and review risk status. RBR-Technologies works with our partners and to establish and implement our Joint Risk Management Plan (JRMP) to increase mission success and decrease failures. RBR-Technologies maintains adequate resources to readily mitigate causes of risk and their associated impacts on cost, schedule, and performance consistent with JRMP requirements.

 

RBR-Technologies’ RMP consists of three major activities: Risk Planning, Risk Analysis, and Risk Resolution. RBR-Technologies has established a Risk Review Board (RRB) to review probability and impact of each open risk on a bi-weekly basis. The RRB consists of RBR-Technologies personnel from all departments to ensure that all risk analysis and resolution takes all departmental impacts into consideration and is consistently applied. RBR-Technologies updates its RMP quarterly and coordinates its updates with the JRMP. The PM is the primary point of contact in coordinating RBR-Technologies’ role in comparing RBR-Technologies’ RMP parameters with other parties’ plans, risks, and updated processes to ensure a unified approach to risk management for the program via agile methodologies. RBR-Technologies collaborates with multiple team to ensure the entire team reviews and compares all RMP in addition to the risks and updated processes. RBR-Technologies submits our RMP, per our customers’ forms and schedules, and/or other requirements, as part of our deliverables package. The RMP presents the process for implementing proactive risk management as part of the overall management approach for our programs.  The objective is to assess and mitigate events that might adversely impact our programs.  The RMP provides a structured process to follow to recognize and address potential problem areas within our projects’ scope.  Technical, requirements, budgetary, and outside factors are all expected risks within these task orders. The RMP describes the process for assessing and handling risk resulting from any uncertain event that may occur and which could result in adverse consequences to the achievement of system cost, schedule and/or technical objectives.  The goal is to avoid or reduce the severity of future problems by applying pro-active risk handling strategies.  The three major activities that will be part of the RPM are Risk Planning, Risk Assessment and Risk Resolution.

 

In addition to our thorough Risk Management processes to prevent problems from occurring, and immediate reporting of problems, we have a variety of ways to address the problems, mitigate impact, and prevent recurrence. First and foremost, we address problems immediately by giving them priority status in our project backlog, ensuring they are resolved in the timeframe of the next sprint (2 weeks) whenever possible. When this is not acceptable, we work with our customers to find a solution to acceptable to all stakeholders. We work extensively to prevent recurrence through the extensive use of After Action Reviews (AARs) and a focus on Kaizen, or continuous process improvement. By conducting AARs and continuously updating our TTPS, we are able to identify the root cause of problems and introduce procedures to prevent them from happening again. Our extensive use of Knowledge Management tools and techniques ensures this knowledge is spread throughout the entire company.
